Keystone History

KEYSTONE, defined as "something others depend on for support," is a great name for St. Elizabeth Ann Seton's dinner, dance and auction.

It was first started in 1998 when Father Potter asked the Women's Group to organize a fundraiser to help pay for the new parish center and office complex. It was supposed to be held for three years. After seeing the success of the event, Father Potter asked the Women's Group to keep doing the fundraiser since it was so beneficial to building community and raising funds.

In 2006, the Women's Group passed the torch to a "Keystone Committee" for which Father Kaim was instrumental in organizing chairpersons for the event. During the ten years of its existence, Keystone has raised over $250,000 to help pay down the debt of the parish center and offices.
